Healing

How does one heal when your son is
 tragically and suddenly torn from this world.
When he had just graduated High School and everyone is future oriented.
When everyone is taking their babies to college
and you won't see your's until Christ's return.

What does healing look like?

What does life look like when you have more questions than answers?

When life continues all around you and you feel like shouting,
This isn't right!

IT'S TOO MUCH!

This is part of what healing looks like.

and this

And this too.

Luke 5:16
But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.

Jesus was God;
 but he was also human. And he withdrew to the quiet places to gain strength and wisdom.
And because of some generous people, we too have withdrawn for a few days.
I do not understand this journey we are on;
With every fiber of my being I miss my boy and all the future that we had expected,

God is still the same God, even though my circumstances have changed
.
In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song. . . .
 My Comforter, my all in all.

  1. It's true Tammy. Sometimes you feel like you have many more questions then answers. That is when you have to rely heavily on faith. ❤

  2. Years ago, a friend of mine, a mother of 3 young children, was battling cancer. When treatments weren't working as well as we had hoped, I remember her saying "I feel God is peeling my clasped hand from around my children and placing my hands fully in Christ's alone.' She loved this song as well.

  3. One moment at a time allowing yourself to feel whatever emotion you are feeling at any given second. Grief has a life all it's own and a timetable no one can understand or determine.

  4. The only way out is through. Thank you for having the courage to walk through your pain, Tammy - and for taking us with you on your journey. The pictures you posted today are such happy reminders of the joy you are promised. You will feel joy again. But, on the days when you feel like you don't want to or can't go on, remember 2 Corinthians 1:9 - "Indeed, we felt we had received the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead." Praise God.

    A happy song for you today - He Is With Us, by Love & The Outcome (one of my favorites). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qYLoigK4WSI

  5. So glad your new normal has a portion of joy, too. "The greatest of these is love."
